Gold‑standard body composition and bone scan

DEXA scanning provides a highly accurate analysis of body composition and bone mineral density. It shows how much fat, muscle, and bone you have—and exactly where it is distributed.

Man getting a DEXA scan

During the scan, you lie still on a table while a low‑dose X‑ray arm passes over your body; the procedure is painless and usually takes 10–20 minutes. Results break down regional fat mass, lean mass, bone density, and visceral fat. Your provider reviews these findings with you and uses them to tailor nutrition, training, and therapeutic plans. Repeat scans are often scheduled every 3 months to objectively track progress.

Please note: All clients must complete an initial assessment to determine eligibility and access this protocol.

Body-Composition Tracking

Body‑composition tracking helps ensure fat loss does not come at the expense of muscle.

Detailed Data

DEXA provides detailed data on fat mass by region, lean muscle mass, bone mineral density, and visceral fat.

Bone‑density data from DEXA can guide hormone and nutritional strategies for skeletal health.

Monitor Change Over Time

Many optimization programs include up to four DEXA scans per year to monitor change.

Precise body composition (fat, muscle, bone density) for tracking progress.

Periodically to monitor changes in protocols.

It is the gold standard for accuracy. DEXA Scans are far more precise than scales, calipers, or bioimpedance for fat vs. lean mass and visceral fat.

Yes, but very low dose (less than a standard chest X-ray); safe for periodic use.
